When entering ingredients into Zubi you can enter values for all the nutrients displayed below.
In some cases there will not be values given in your information source for Calories or Dietary Fibre. The fields can be left as the default, i.e. 0.0.
Saying that, the Calories will be automatically calculated if an Energy value is entered and unless the calorie field is removed at some stage there will usually be a Calories value present. (The calorie value can be removed from a product NIP by unchecking the box in the NIP/Size tab of the product.)
When ingredients are used in a product (recipe) the nutrition information will be calculated based on the nutrition information from the ingredients.
In cases where the ingredients have 0 for Calories or Dietary Fibre, the values for these for the product will be skewed for the product nutrition information.
So if when reviewing your NIPs the values seem out, have a look at the nutrition values on the ingredients in case any have 0 for fields where this is not what you'd expect to see.
